1. Bookings

1.1 Course bookings are only confirmed via online payment or on receipt of a completed booking form.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Online Bookings
Payment is taken immediately, and the delegate will receive confirmation of payment and course booking by email.

2.2 Phone/Email Bookings
On receipt of a completed booking form an invoice will be issued by CSV Training. Full payment is required on receipt of this invoice and payment should be received within 14 days of the invoice date or 14 days prior to the course commencement date, whichever is earlier. If the booking form is received within 10 working days of the course commencement date, then payment must be made immediately.

2.3 All payments must be made in UK sterling (GBP) and reference our invoice number where provided.

2.4 Failure to comply with the Payment Terms may result in delegate(s) being removed from the course or offered an alternative date.

3. Cancellation

3.1 Cancellation by the Delegate/Employer

Cancellations will be refunded as follows:

  • Greater than 10 working days prior to the course – 75% of the original payment value including VAT, where applicable
  • 10 or less working days before the course – No refund

We reserve the right to pass on any external costs caused by cancellation to the Delegate/Employer, for example third party suppliers (facilities, accommodation, equipment or catering).

3.2 Cancellation by CSV Training

We reserve the right at any time:

  • to cancel Courses and refund in full. No further liability will be accepted.
  • to vary Course or Programme dates, programmes, speakers and venues.

We shall endeavour to inform Delegates/Employers as soon as possible of any course cancellation or variation.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information contained within our literature and materials, including any course description; however, we do not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions. We reserve the right to cancel any booking for a course where any such error or omission has occurred, even after we have accepted such a booking.

4. Re-scheduling

4.1 Delegates may re-schedule to another public scheduled course.

4.2 Re-scheduling will be subject to a £100 administration charge.

4.3 Re-scheduling must take place within 3 months of the original training date, subject to availability. We reserve the right to pass on any external costs caused by delegate re-scheduling, for example third party suppliers (facilities, accommodation, equipment or catering).

4.4 Re-scheduling must be requested more than 10 working days before the course start date. Re-scheduling within 10 working days of the course will be treated as a Cancellation.

5. Substitution

5.1 Delegates/Employers may substitute a delegate on a course at no charge but must take full responsibility for ensuring that all course documentation is passed on and that the new delegate meets the relevant pre-requisites for the course.

5.2 CSV Training must be made aware of any substitutions at least 5 working days prior to the course start date.

6. Price

6.1 We reserve the right to change prices listed without notice.

6.2 The price of a bespoke training programmes is as confirmed by CSV Training in writing.

6.3 Prices do not include meals (unless CSV Training notify Delegates otherwise), travel, accommodation, parking costs or any other cost incurred as a result of or in connection with a course.

6.4 Value Added Tax will be added to all taxable supplies at the current.

7. Delegates

7.1 All delegates attending a course must accept our Standard Terms and Conditions.

7.2 Delegates shall be required to comply with all the rules, procedures, policies and guidelines in place at the course venue and/or our premises, including but not limited to Alcohol, Drug and Substance Abuse Policy, Equality and Diversity Policy, Smoking Policy, Health and Safety Procedures, and Emergency Procedures.

7.3 Delegates are not allowed to bring the following on to our premises:

  • Alcohol; or
  • Any object that could be used to threaten or injure another person (including any knife or other type of sharply bladed or pointed object or gun or other firearm).

If we consider that:

  • A Delegate is under the influence of drink or illegal substances, in possession of illegal substances, misusing legal substances, unsuitably dressed or behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner; and/or
  • A Delegate is a risk to the health and well-being of themselves and/or others; and/or
  • A Delegate is not adhering to our Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy
  • A Delegate’s Course attendance times are unacceptable,

Such Delegate shall be required to leave the Course and our premises (if applicable) immediately. Other than where a Delegate is required to leave for a reason outside their reasonable control, we shall not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.

7.5 Some of the training provided by CSV Training can be physically and/or mentally demanding. All Delegates must be capable of completing the training in that respect. We cannot be held responsible for any costs that may be incurred due to a Delegate(s) being unable to complete training as a result of any inability on their part. Where there is any concern contact us and we will assess what reasonable adjustments may be made to assist any Delegate(s).

7.6 Prior to making a Booking it is the responsibility of the Delegate/Employer to ensure Delegate(s):

  • Has the physical ability; and/or
  • Has the communication skills; and/or
  • Has the literacy and/or numeracy skills; and/or
  • Has met any prerequisites listed for the Course that is/are required for a Delegate(s) to attend and complete the Course on which they have been enrolled, and for which we are not able to make Reasonable Adjustments.

7.7 If a Delegate(s) does not possess the physical ability and/or the skills and/or prerequisites and/or abilities set out in clauses 7.6, either:

  • In our reasonable opinion; and/or
  • The Delegate’s opinion and we have not been able to make Reasonable Adjustments,

Such Delegate(s) shall be required to leave the Course or Programme and our premises (if applicable) immediately. We shall not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.

8. Liability

8.1 Nothing in our Standard Terms and Conditions is intended to limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8.2 Subject to clause 8.1 we shall not be liable to Delegates/Employers:

  • for any indirect, special or consequential loss of any nature whatsoever; or
  • for any loss of profits, business, contracts, revenue, goodwill, contracts or anticipated savings or for any administrative inconvenience or disappointment.

8.3 Subject to clause 8.1, our liability to Delegate/Employer in contract, tort or otherwise is limited to the course price.

8.4 We accept no liability for any reliance placed upon the contents of any course literature supplied. The said material is intended for reference purposes only and is not intended, nor should it be used, as a substitute for professional advice and judgement or to provide legal advice with respect to particular circumstances.

8.5 We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused to a Delegate’s vehicle on our premises unless caused by our wilful misconduct.

8.6 We shall not be liable to Employers for any loss or damage to premises caused by an event outside our reasonable control (including the misconduct or negligence of another delegate) or where the Employer remains in exclusive charge of the premises concerned.

8.7 We shall not be liable to Delegates/Employers for any delay or for the consequences of any delay in performing our obligations under the booking, if such delay is due to any cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including without limitation strikes and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident) and we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for performing such obligations.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Delegates/Employers agree not to share, copy, store or reproduce any CSV Training material by any means.

10. Delivery

10.1 CSV Training Premises
CSV Training will deliver all training on its premises to meet the necessary standards as laid down by the appropriate accredited body.

10.2 Employers Premises
The Employer must ensure the premises is able to meet the necessary standards as laid down by the appropriate accredited body.

  • Classroom delivery
  • Access to a sufficiently sized meeting/training room, which will be undisturbed
  • Access to power sockets and facilities for a projector
  • Access to welfare facilities within a reasonable distance
  • CSV Training are informed of emergency procedures on arrival
  • Practical delivery
  • Access to the appropriate plant/machinery (additional charge incurred if CSV Training are providing plant/machinery)
  • Access to certificates and handbooks of plant/machinery
  • Personal Protective Equipment is provided for all delegates
  • Access to a controlled area
  • Access to welfare facilities within a reasonable distance
  • CSV Training are informed of emergency procedures on arrival

If the Trainer upon arrival does not believe the Employer has met the standards outlined above and believes there is a health and safety risk to Delegates, then he/she has the right to stop course delivery immediately. We shall not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.
